In Bollywood, it's all about loving your family, not only on reel, but for real too. Established stars paving for their younger siblings to follow in their footsteps or lending them that extra bit of support every now and then is not unheard of. And
Soap queen and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor made sure that in her films brother Tusshar got to show his talent beyond comedy. Likewise, not too long ago actor Manisha Koirala had made elaborate plans to launch her younger bro Siddharth.
Actor Rani Mukerji has always stood by her filmmaker Raja's side and even actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had helped her brother realise his dreams of turning producer Actor Saif Ali Khan seems keen to give his sister Soha's beau Kunal Khemu a much-needed career boost by casting him in one of his productions, similarly, actor Salman Khan's gone out of the way for sister Alvira's hubby Atul Agnihotri's film Bodyguard. Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar is known to have given his best performances in sis Zoya Akhtar's films including the recent Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Filmmaker Farah Khan has always been supportive of her filmmaker brother Sajid Khan too.
Sajid feels that it's unfair to say that either have made it big because of each other, but having a strong support system in the industry helps. "But why only career wise, siblings are one of the most cherished people in our lives," he says. Industry insiders agree that families here do matter. "There are no permanent friends or enemies here, so blood relations here are more valued," shares a veteran producer. "In fact, it's the best Rakhi gifts they can give each other," he adds.
