Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Hrithik Roshan get new looks: Directed by filmmaker Karan Johar's former assistant, Karan Malhotra, 'Agneepath', a remake of the 1990 Hindi film is reportedly radically different from the original film.
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's look in the much-awaited remake of 'Agneepath' was recently revealed.
The original 'Agneepath', directed by Mukul Anand, starred Amitabh, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Rohini Hattangadi and Danny Denzongpa; and was produced by Yash Johar, Karan's late father.
Though the original film failed commercially at the box-office, Bachchan's performance was praised. Bachchan and Chakraborty received National award for Best Actor and Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award respectively.
The character essayed by Mithun Chakraborty has been totally done away in the remake and the role of villain played by Danny Denzongpa is being essayed by Dutt.
Kapoor apparently gave a look test for the first time in 20 years for Agneepath.
Priyanka Chopra is the female lead in the film.
The remake version will see Hrithik reprising Bachchan's iconic role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan.
The release date also happens to be close to Hrithik's 38th birthday, which will fall January 10.
Hrithik has beefed up considerably for this film though his look remains the same.
The action film will test Hrithik's acting once again as he will invariably be compared with Bachchan.
Sanjay Dutt's daredevil side will soon be up for grabs in upcoming films like 'Agneepath' remake and 'Zilla Ghaziabad'.
Karan Johar had asked fans their feedback on the first look of 'Agneepath' and announced the release date.
'Agneepath' will be released on January 13, 2012.
The film is made under Karan Johar's Dharma Production.

The first look of Sanjay Dutt's antagonist role as 'Kancha Cheena' was revealed on his birthday by Dharma Productions. The original role was played by Danny Denzongpa.
Agneepath is slated to be one of the major releases of 2012.
Hrithik's look was unveiled much before, through a still which had the 37-year-old wearing a red vest, jeans and a bandana, which read 'Govinda Mahautsav'.
Priyanka Chopra plays the romantic lead opposite Hrithik. She has a line-up of films, including 'Don 2: The Chase Continues', the 'Agneepath' remake, 'Barfee', 'Krrish 2' and Kunal Kohli's next with Shahid Kapoor next year.
