The team of Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein has come up with a novel idea to pay an ode to Charlie Chaplin. Since the film's title refers to cocaine, the makers decided to convert the lovable Hollywood legend into an evil one to personify the drug and the destruction it causes, in the title track. Anand Tiwari (of Go Goa Gone fame), will be seen as the English comic actor in it along with Shweta Sharma.
Pleased with the compliments for his act, Anand says, “When producer Karan Arora and the video's director Siddhant came up with this idea, I jumped at it. I've been a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin since childhood. I tried my best to look like him. In fact, I even grew a moustache for the song instead of opting for a fake one.“ Naseeruddin Shah, Amit Sial, Subrat Dutta, Auroshikha Dey , Disha Arora and Manasi Rachh along with Anand play principal roles in the investigative thriller that is directed by Manish Shrivastav and produced by Karan Arora.
Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein, produced by Picture Thoughts Production, releases November 6.
