Each of the new offerings is targeted at a niche consumer segment that has not been addressed till now and will be of immense benefit to partnering retailers in meeting the emerging demands of consumers in their regions.
Some of the new brands being unveiled in India for the first time are GDivas, GSolitaire, Amore and Maya Diamonds each of which addresses the jewellery needs of different segments of society.
On the other hand MeJewels and MeSolitaire are brands that are retailed through an innovative combination of online and offline systems. A centralised inventory accessible through the Internet enables the retailer to offer his consumer widest choice with a minimum investment in actual stocks. Finally there are the stunning new collections from Italian brands which have already been popular among Indian consumers.
The new collections and brands are expected to become best sellers during the two major selling seasons – the October-December festival-wedding season in India, and the November-December festive Christmas season in US and other international markets.
Speaking about the show, Mehul Choksi, CMD, Gitanjali Group, said, “We have introduced new brands and collections to address new niche segments and fill the gaps in our offerings to the consumers. The IIJS, which attracts trade visitors from across India and different parts of the world, is the perfect platform to present these to the trade.”
