cript 2011, an international film festival that screens documentaries
and short films of social relevance, invites entries from the west and
north India. In its second year, the festival will have its participants
compete in five categories — international, filmmakers, students,
documentaries and mini/ad films with a social message. All categories
carry a first prize of Rs25,000 and second prize of Rs15,000,
and the Golden Halo awards. Actor and director Revathy will head the
jury, and the last date for submissions is December 1. The festival will
be held in Kochi on January 20-21, and is free for filmmakers and audiences.
