Riding on the success of her latest film Raaz 3, actor
Bipasha Basu is now turning her focus on her next venture — her new
fitness DVD. Just recovering from a health scare, the actor is ready to
continue her journey in making a firm place for herself in the field of
health and fitness. Says Bipasha, who’s just returned from a darshan at
Siddhivinayak temple, “It was so beautiful. Though I’m not all that into
rituals, my mother does puja at home.” The actor was there to seek
blessings for her recent success and her next venture. “I have been
concentrating on giving the final touches to the DVD and now, it is
ready. I’m going to make a lot of noise about it next month. It’s
something that quintessential gym haters won’t be able to resist. It
will teach everyone to love themselves. Those working with me have been
inspired to take up yoga or hit the gym.”
With other B-Towners like
Shilpa Shetty and Lara Dutta also having their fitness DVDs to boast of,
we ask Bipasha what is so different about her fitness gyaan? “In my
case, content is king and there are no gimmicks involved! I am going to
set a new trend as the whole fitness DVD concept is a new thing in
India. As you said some people have been doing it, but I don’t know how
successful they are or have been. We just launched the first look at the
Delhi marathon and things are looking pretty good. Furthermore, the
support that I have got from the industry is immense.”
Apart from the
fitness venture, the actor also has her hands full with Race 2, Aatma
and Holly flick Singularity. But it’s her penchant for horror films that
made her sign another flick in the same genre after Raaz. The actor,
who’ll be travelling soon to shoot for Aatma, is looking forward to
rebuilding her brand with the Bhatts. In fact, director Vikram Bhatt at a
recent event, said, “I think I owe it to myself and to Bipasha, to do
another film with her right away. It’s amazing how hard she worked on
the film and look at the end result. Both of us have gone through our
share of turmoil. Like they say, no pain no gain. ”
