Vivek to the rescue!

The actor helped out his film unit at the last minute when they couldn’t find a suitable vehicle for a sequence

Actor Vivek Oberoi is a filmmaker’s delight, says
producer Vinod Bachchan. Revealing why, a source from the production
unit of Zilla Ghaziabad says that Vivek has helped them out in more ways
than one. Not only did he go all out to perfect his look as the rustic
gangster for the film, but he even bailed out the team when it came to
dates, says the source. “The schedules were hectic for Vivek as he was
juggling shooting for three films, but whenever there was a need to
reschedule the shoot, he was always accomodating,” adds the source.
Another unit member shares how he helped out the team in another situation, when they could not find the right vehicle to match the personality of the character. “It was one of the scenes where a lot of jeeps were required and that’s when instead of complaining about the right jeep, Vivek called for his own jeep for the shot. The jeep is very close to him as his father (veteran actor Suresh Oberoi) had given it to him as his birthday gift during his college days. The actor considers the same to be his lucky charm and one of his prized possessions. It was very rough terrain, but Vivek didn’t mind getting the jeep at all,” informs the source. Meanwhile, Vivek’s streak of helping others seems to be in full swing even when it has nothing to do with films. An official from an NGO that he recently came out in support of says, “We know how busy Vivek is, but when we approached him to lend support, he immediately agreed to give us a date. There are reports of him being actively involved with many causes, but what people don’t know is that he actually supports many more that never gets written about.” |
