Traffic came to a halt on Sunday evening in Bandra as fans gathered on the road to catch a glimpse of their favourite star

It was a regular Sunday evening on Hill Road in Bandra, till Salman Khan came cycling by. While some were too shocked to react on seeing their star amidst them, there were others who queued up for photographs furiously clicking away the star on their mobile phones. Salman too on his part obliged smilingly before entering the club premise. But seems like the crowds just couldn’t get enough of him. As word spread that the actor was there, crowds gathered around the gates, which then had to be closed. An onlooker reveals, “There was so much crowd outside the gates that even the traffic came to a halt. Cops had to intervene to keep the crowds at bay and keep the traffic flowing.” And as the crowds swelled, they all were heard calling out to ‘Chulbul Pandey’ the character he’s reprising in Dabangg 2. “Even the cops seemed in a fix, but later realised that the crowds were not unruly. No-one really seemed bothered by either the traffic nor the waiting,” adds the onlooker. An insider shares that it’s not unusual for Salman to cycle around in Bandra, but he usually does it either late in the night or at odd hours when he’s not expecting the crowds. “There’s always a crowd near his house too, but the huge numbers yesterday even took us by surprsie as not it was not a public event and no-one knew that he was coming there,” says the insider. The crowds did not disperse till late in the night. When Salman was told about the crowds waiting outside for over two hours, he came out to wave at them. “Even after that they did not disperse. Eventually, Salman had to cancel his plans of cycling out and instead drove home in his car,” adds the insider.
