How Javed got Salim to lose his glasses
They parted ways professionally about three decades ago, but Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar continue to inspire each other. And it’s not just where work is concerned, like when the duo teamed up to fight for their copyright in the case of the Zanjeer remake. We hear that Khan was surprised to see Akhtar read without any glasses and wanted to know how his former partner managed it at his age. “That’s when Javed sahab told Salim sahab that he had undergone laser surgery for sight correction,” says our source.
Recently, when Khan was undergoing a surgery for cataract, he learnt that his glasses also required a number change. So, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his former partner.
“Rather than go for a new pair of spectacles, Salim sahab opted for vision correction along with his cataract surgery. So now, he doesn’t need to wear glasses as his vision is perfect,” our source concludes.
