Court rules in favour of new Zanjeer makers
The Bombay High Court yesterday ruled in favour of the producers of the Zanjeer remake in the case filed by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. The duo had moved court stating that they had given the rights to Prakash Mehra for the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer and not for a remake later. They reportedly asked for 6 crore – 3 crores as royalty for the Hindi script and 3 crores for the South Indian remake. The new Zanjeer is also simultaneously made as Thoofan in Telugu.
