Francisco Cerúndolo was born into a tennis family in Buenos Aires. His parents own a tennis school, and he began playing at age 5. His idols were Roger Federer and David Nalbandian. He has repeatedly troubled Alexander Zverev, defeating the German in Buenos Aires in 2025 for his first Top 2 win and in Madrid for two consecutive years .
Latest News: In 2026, Cerúndolo won the Argentina Open for his first title on home soil and the Queen‘s Club title—his first ATP 500 championship and the first ATP 500 grass-court title won by an Argentine player . He achieved a career-high ranking of No. 18 and reached the second round at Wimbledon in 2026 . At 28, he is one of the most consistent clay-court players on the ATP Tour and a key figure in Argentina’s Davis Cup team.
