Actor Salman Khan's health has been in the news for the past several weeks now, with buzz of the actor suffering heart-and-back-related ailments. But now it has been revealed that the actor is actually suffering from a nerve disorder called trigeminal neuralgia (facial nerve pain). Admitting it, Salman reveals that he has indeed been suffering excruciating pain on the right side of his head since the past seven years now. "The pain is unbearable," he shares. A nerve condition, it's known to aggravate due to hectic physical exertion. For Salman too, the pain would shoot up especially during his dance and action sequences. However, the actor did not let work suffer, and continued to push himself despite the condition. But now the pain seems to be getting worse by the day, which was why he had to undergo the angiography to detect the ailment. "It was nothing to do with my heart. My heart is strong. But yes, this pain is the worst pain anyone can go through," he says. The actor also informs that he's looking at the two options to "end the torture". "Bahut ho gaya yaar!" he smiles. "The options are surgery or a radiation technique using gamma knife. I am still consulting several doctors for it. The procedure will probably be done in America, Sweden or Pittsburg," he said. However, the actor has not let his pain slow him down has been making sure that his health not take a toll on professional commitments in the past seven years. "I have been avoiding this for a real long time now, but now the pain is too much to bear. So, the next time I can manage to get a few days off after Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, I will get this fixed," says the star. |
