Happy Birthday Chachi 420!: The super talented Kamal Hassan turns 57 today.
Making his debut in 1959 as a child artist - this actor has traveled golden miles and is still going strong.
He won his first regional Filmfare Award in his Malayalam debut film 'Kanyakumari' in 1974.
His foray in to Bollywood happened in the 1980's starting off with the remakes of his already hit southern flicks.
In 2008, he appeared in K. S. Ravikumar's 'Dasavathaaram' with Asin.
He has been married twice and has two daughters - Shruti and Akshara from his second wife Sarika.
Kamal Hassan portrayed ten distinct roles in the venture which remains one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
Being in the industry for 52 years and counting - Kamal Hassan has starred with female stars from Srividya to Asin.

'Chachi 420' saw him paired with Tabu. He has also starred with Manisha Koirala and Urmila in his stint in Bollywood.
Kamal Hassan had an equally successful stint with comedy films as well - both in Bollywood and Tollywood.
