Kaun banega Archie,Veronica aur Betty?

    Comic book teenagers — Archie, Veronica, Betty and Jughead — are coming to the big screen in a new, live-action feature film based on the long-running Archie comic series. While Jason Moore has been named as the director of the film and the stars haven’t been finalised, we have a few suggestions about the Bollywood stars who could make for apt Archie characters. 

RANBIR KAPOOR Kapoor Junior is the proverbial good guy — romantic, polite albeit a little goofy with those Barfi traits, but brought up well, just like Archie Andrews. He might not be ginger-haired or have freckles, but his romantic link-ups and reigning confusion between Veronica and Betty, oops... Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, make him an ideal filmi Archie. 

DEEPIKA PADUKONE She has what it takes to play Veronica Lodge. Pampered she may not be — like the Veronica of Archie's fame — but the lady sure knows how to make the guys go weak-kneed! Right from Ranbir to Ranveer and seniors like Saif Ali Khan and SRK, Dippy is the gal who has put many a guy in a spin. 

KATRINA KAIF Not that she’s homely a la our Betty Cooper, but Kat sure has that vulnerable appeal, which makes the guys want to protect her. 

SONAM KAPOOR Now, that’s another strong contender for the role of Veronica, who can pip Dippy to the post if she really tries hard enough. Like Ms Lodge, Sonam Kapoor has the panache for great clothes and uppity lifestyle. And her penchant to effortlessly make it to the style files and headlines — her recent Cannes outing is a case in point — make her an ideal candidate for this role. 

 

 DIANA PENTY She has the looks and the aura of a Betty Copper, with innocence writ large in her eyes and that earthy appeal. And if her interviews are anything to go by, the gal has very simple lifestyle too — despite her pretty looks. That's an ideal Betty in the making, especially since she is known for her culinary acumen too! 

RANVEER SINGH Now that’s the man, who will fit the pants, oops, role of Reggie Mantle to perfection. He has that brat-like aura, extrovert personality and he’s a loud thinker too. Just like our dear old Re g g i e. What’s more! He has that teeny weeny roving eye — just like Reggie and he has easily flitted from good friends — Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha and more with effortless ease.
