Actor John Abraham hits out at the reality show wave in his upcoming film
Even though he doesn't shy away from promoting his films on reality shows, actor John Abraham has taken off on reality television shows in his upcoming film. Though it's just his screen character that lashes out against the reality shows, John hits out on the fact about how Indian youth is over-occupied with the reality-show wave that is sweeping across.
"The otherwise reticent John has taken off on reality shows through a scene in his forthcoming film. Essaying the role of ACP Yashvardhan, John in a confrontation scene, talks about how today's youth do not have ambitions to join the police or army, but are the first to jump the gun when it comes to participating in reality shows," says a source.
A section of the select peer group to whom the film was shown earlier had apparently raised a red flag when they came to know about the scene. But with the approval of the Censor Board, the producers are going ahead with the dialogues. Apparently, John too shares the same view and hence keeping the dialogues was a decision taken unanimously by the producers in accordance with John.
Says a source, "John is of the opinion that today's youth need to wake up and do something for society and has spoken about it in a scene he shares with Genelia. He has never liked visiting reality shows but since the production had already committed dates to a talent reality show. John visited them, after much convincing."
