Kristen Stewart won best supporting actress for her
work in Clouds Of Sils Maria by the National Society of Film Critics on
Sunday. The movies Spotlight and Carol also fared well with the NSFC,
winning two awards each. The NSFC tweeted out its winners and Stewart
took the honour for best supporting actress, beating out runners-up
Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) and Kate Winslet (Steve Jobs). Meanwhile,
Mark Rylance won best supporting for his performance in Bridges Of
Spies. Best actor went to Michael B Jordan for his work in Creed, while
Charlotte Rampling scored best actress for 45 Years. Spotlight won for
both best picture and best screenplay, while Carol nabbed awards for
best director for Todd Haynes and best cinematography Ed Lachman. Other
NSFC winners were the documentary Amy about Amy Winehouse and Timbuktu
was also honoured.
