As the new face of
Maybelline New York, Athiya Shetty loves to use makeup to express
herself and define her beauty to make it happen. Showcasing this new
expression through the power of makeup, she will be walking the ramp for
the Maybelline New York show with designers Rohit GandhiRahul Khanna at
India Fashion Week today at 9.30 pm. The brand's makeup guru Elton J
Fernandez will lead the way towards trendy , high fashion looks as its
first official makeup artiste. Armed with the makeup panier of the
brand, he forecasts nude eyes and bright lip colours as the beauty trend
for the season.Using key products like the Velvet Matte Liquid Color
and the Nudes Palette for eyes, he will create unique looks for the
show.
We caught the two backstage, where they were doing Athiya's look for the fashion week. In a quick chat, Elton shared with us the guide to get her smouldering look.. The brand's Dream foundation allows for smooth, easy application and sufficient coverage. Apply it where necessary and blend outwards. Set with Clear Glow powder on high points of face like forehead, nose and chin. This allows you to add a softly sculpted, but smooth velvetlike finish to the skin.
Each of the 12 shades that the Nudes Palette offers is ultra-usable. I particularly recommend using the Browns when you want to smoke the eye up albeit with a touch of soft romance. The pale shadows are perfect to highlight the inner corners of the eye for that special `Pop'. Gold is an eternal favourite for a gentle touch down the centre of the eyelid for added dimension.Play up textures by placing the shiny gold alongside a matte brown -the brown will envelop the eye by absorbing light, while the reflective gold will make light dance and add drama.
