- Adopted her mother's maiden name as her stage name.
- Became leading lady to John Drew under the management of the Frohmans.
- Starred in several Barrie plays, including Little Minister (1897), Quality Street (1901), Peter Pan (1905), and What Every Woman Knows (1908).
- Made valuable contributions to the development of stage lighting in her retirement.
- Became professor of drama at Stephens College in 1937.
