TOIFA 2013 ANNOUNCES NOMINATIONS

Voting is now open globally for the Times of India Film Awards that will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia from April 4-6, 2013



    It’s going to be a starry April in Vancouver this year as the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) take Bollywood to the city. The one-of-its kind global and democratic awards function will honour and reward excellence in Hindi cinema. Nominations for the awards are now out, and global voting lines are open for a month, starting today.
    Hindi cinema fans from across the world can now vote for their favourites on www.toifa.com. Spread across 14 public voting categories, TOIFA will felicitate the finest from the fields of acting, directing, music, choreography and scripting. There will also be 12 technical awards as well as critics awards that will be chosen by the jury.

    The year 2012 was ruled by interesting film concepts, out-of-the-box technology, powerful screenplays and outstanding performances. It also saw Ranbir Kapoor cement his position as a talented actor with Barfi while Sridevi made an impactful comeback with English Vinglish. Offbeat movies like Paan Singh Tomar and Gangs of Wasseypur created ripples, while actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Arjun Kapoor made impressive debuts.
