Tickle time
That 70s Show could easily be dismissed as just another American comedy that revolves around a bunch of friends, except that this one is really funny. The show is essentially a period comedy, the setting is the mid-seventies hence the title. A family bonder for sure, what probably sets the show apart from the current crop are the characters. Each one has a specific trait. While one is goofy, another is too smart and a third is surprisingly sane. The girlfriends match the guys’ characters too. The series made its debut in the West in the late nineties, but the jokes are still relevant. A drawback, if you could call it that, is that there isn’t really anything, apart from the bell bottoms, hairstyles and wide-rimmed eye-wear that makes you feel you are transported to life in the ‘70s. Another high point of watching the show now is that you get to see a very young Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis in their beginner days. The duo may have managed to make it big in Hollywood now, but it’s fun to see them don goofy avatars for this period show. And the good news is that they do make you laugh. Ashton’s character is that of a dumb teenager trying to date two beauties at one time, Mila being one of them, who, as it turns out, is the one he truly cares about. Mila’s character is terribly dominating, but endearing at the same time. Little doubt that they climbed their way to the top of Holly land then, right folks?
