The cricketer has apparently got engaged to a Mumbai girl
Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan has apparently gotten engaged to Mumbai-based girl Afreen in Vadodara recently.
Reports of his engagement surfaced a few days ago, but they intensified when he was missing at a recent match in Mumbai, after which it was apparently revealed that he was in Baroda for a post-engagement party.
A source close to the family divulges a few details. “Yusuf left for Vadodara on Friday to attend a family get-together post the engagement. While it hasn’t yet been revealed when the engagement took place, it certainly happened much earlier. The marriage will happen sometime this year itself.”
The bride in question is Afreen, a Mumbai girl who is reportedly practicing physiotherapy in Vadodara. The engagement was an extremely private affair with very few members from both families present to bless the couple. While there have been rumours of Irfan too getting hitched, news doing the rounds is that after Yusuf, it is brother, cricketer Irfan’s turn and his engagement will soon follow. Irfan has apparently been dating an Indian diplomat’s daughter, Shivangi Dev for a long time now.While Irfan has never spoken about Shivangi, he had said that he would marry only after elder brother Yusuf.
It’s now also learnt that the brothers, Yusuf and Irfan, are open to the idea of tying the knot on the same day. And if sources are to be believed, the families had gotten together to discuss and finalise the dates.
