CID’s Kolkata bureau will be in action

CID, the longest ever running television series, will launch its Bengali version CID Kolkata Bureau on Sony TV’s Bangla Entertainment Channel, AATH. This brand-new series in Bengali will have its own batch of officers and a dash of local flavour — the stories will be influenced by the rich culture of Bengal, thus making it extremely interesting and relevant to the people there.
The plot of the premiere week revolves around a little girl, who goes missing from a mall. Her mother makes her sit in the central area of the mall and tells the bodyguard to keep a watch, while she shops. But when she returns, she finds her daughter and the bodyguard missing. She contacts the security in-charge of the
mall. Finally, they solicit help from the CID Kolkata Bureau, headed by ACP Birsingha. Noted television and Bengali film actor Kaushik Chakraborty will essay the character of Birsingha, the Kolkata counterpart of ACP Pradhyuman. Joy Bhattacharya will play a fearless cop, Ronojoy. Trivikram Ghosh will be seen as Tej while Debashree Chakraborty is the svelte police officer, Gargi. P artha Pratim Dutta is Satyaki, Biplab Banerjee is Doctor Arrow and Paulami Banerjee is the assistant forensic doctor Jaggyaseni.
CID Kolkata Bureau launches tonight and will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10 pm only on AATH.
