Fresh Face 2012 saw exceptional talent at these two colleges

Playing host to scores of students, the Clean & Clear Bombay Times Fresh Face 2012 saw exceptional talent at these two colleges, where participants displayed skills like freestyle football, brick-breaking and moonwalking!

RD NATIONAL COLLEGE
Talented, spunky and full of zest, the students at Bandra’s RD National College shone through during the Fresh Face contest. The participants ensured that the judges’ attention stayed with them through the contest and put up one rocking performance after another in the talent round. While one participant moonwalked, another broke a brick with his fist! Some also went the more glamourous route and flaunted their ramp-walking techniques. For example, Shreya Chaudhry, who was eventually declared the winner among the girls and Sagar Achhpal, who was chosen as the runners-up among the boys.

While the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the talent round, the judge for the day — actor Sonu Sood — was also seen having a good time. Many students dedicated their performance to him, including Gaurav Sharma, who performed to
Munni Badnam Hui.
In fact, after a while, the students also got Sonu on stage to jiggy with them on the same track — they certainly had a step or two to teach him! However, it’s Ayush Arora — he played Hotel California on his guitar — who scored all the points.
KHALSA COLLEGE
With an enthusiasm that knew no bounds, the students of Khalsa College rocked the Fresh Face contest on day four. Gangs Of Wasseypur actress Richa Chadda was the celebrity judge for the day. Along with RJ Suren from Radio Mirchi, Richa constantly interacted with the students, giving them tips on improving their stage performance and facing the audience with confidence. It was easy to see the impact on the students, who queued up to participate in the contest.
From Amrita AR, who displayed her skills in belly dancing to keyboardist Raj Mayur Parekh and Kiran Gurav, who showcased his flexibility through a B-boying performance, there was no dearth of talented and good-looking participants here. Robert D’Souza had the audience roaring in support with his freestyle football performance, where he expressed himself using a football! The competition concluded with Abhinav Prabhu blowing the conch for a long while.
Richa seemed impressed with the talent, and spent time with those who couldn’t clear the first round. Kashish Kapoor and Prachi Chilap were announced the winners, while Falaknaaz Khan and Aakash Prabhakar were declared the first runners-up.
