Art aficionados are in for a treat

India Art Festival that kickstarts today has works of over 500 artists on display



    India Art Festival (IAF) is off to a start today at Bandra-Kurla Complex and will showcase more than 3,000 artworks by 40 art galleries and over 500 artists, in 175 airconditioned booths spread across a sprawling one lakh square feet area.
    Major art galleries participating in the IAF include Gallery Art and Soul, Gallery Beyond, Tao Art Gallery, The Loft, ICAC (Mumbai), Art Konsult, Progressive Art Gallery, Galerie Art Eterne, Pioneer Art Gallery, Pearl Art Gallery, Gallery Ruki, (New Delhi), Contemporary Art Direct (London), ICONART Gallery, Deccan Art
Gallery (Hyderabad), Forum Art Gallery (Chennai), Galerie Sara Arakkal, Time & Space (Bangalore), Horizon Art Gallery (Udaipur), Kalaneri Art Gallery (Jaipur), Orchid Art Gallery (Mangalore). The IAF conversation — a series of panel discussions curated by Ranjit Hoskote, which include 20 wellknown art experts, starts tomorrow at the IAF venue for three days.
    IAF is also hosting a special preview today from 3 pm to 8 pm for invitees and will open for all from November 29 to December 2, 11.30 am to 8 pm at the MMRDA Ground, opposite Bharat Diamond Market, BKC.
