5 reasons to watch Life Of Pi

Ang Lee’s movie adaptation of Yann Martel’s Life Of Pi, produced by Fox Star Studios, releases today in 3-D and 2-D in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Here are five reasons to watch the film.
1 RICHARD PARKER The majestic Bengal tiger has to be seen to be believed. With piercing eyes that look right through you and a roar that makes each hair on your body stand on end. Parker’s journey with Pi Patel (Suraj Sharma) is a feast for the senses.

2 EARTH, WATER, SKY Right from the backwaters to the Puducherry coastline and Munnar plantations to the wonderfully photographed shots of calm and stormy seas along with screaming and serene skies, there is awe-inspiring beauty throughout. Earth, water and sky may just as well be characters by themselves with each playing a part in the telling of the story.
3 ON A SPIRITUAL FLIGHT The film has universal appeal with the themes being a personal discovery of God and the coming of age of a young boy who finds love, discovers faith, loses his family, faces his fears and heads on, kicking and crawling to his destiny.

4 3-D THAT’S EASY ON YOUR EYES With LOP, Lee outdoes himself, setting a new standard for 3-D and pushes the boundaries of cutting-edge motion picture technologies.

5 ON AN INDIAN HIGH India takes centre stage, each frame filled with vibrant colours. The ensemble cast includes the internationally acclaimed Irrfan Khan, the versatile Tabu and the intense Adil Hussain. And the story’s hero, Suraj Sharma, is a revelation, if promos are anything to go by. And with LOP, Lee did something he hasn’t done before: starting promotions in India.
