Ashutosh, DeNiro bond over filmi baatein
It is learnt that Ashutosh Gowariker bonded big time with the Hollywood actor, Robert DeNiro, at an event in Goa recently. Reportedly, The Departed actor was struck by our desi director’s point that more than his performance, it was about the characters he chose to portray and through which he also brought out incredible nuances about human behaviour. Ashutosh was surprised when DeNiro agreed to his request of catching up for a chat later in the evening. Over a round of drinks, they talked about Indian and Western cinema. When DeNiro asked Gowariker to mail him the list of his films so he could watch them, the filmmaker gave him DVDs of Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar.
