Vidya Balan will have a South Indian and Punjabi style wedding

After much speculation, it’s now confirmed that the actress will marry Siddharth Roy Kapur on Dec 14

Preparations for Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s December wedding is on in full swing. While both have decided to stay mum, there has been constant speculation about the date that the duo will finally say ‘I do’. Bombay Times has now learnt from a reliable source that the date of wedding has been finalised. Vidya will wed Siddharth on Dec 14. Spilling the beans on the ongoing preparations in the Balan household, the source said, “Preparations are on in full swing at both households. Close friends and relatives have been asked to block their dates from Dec 11-14. She is a Tamilian and he is a Punjabi, so a number of functions have been planned keeping the South Indian and the Punjabi culture in mind. While it is still being worked out, they will have a South Indian style wedding and either a Punjabi style wedding after that or a reception. The sangeet and other functions will start from 11th onwards. The guest list is still being worked out but most of her friends from the industry will be invited. They may throw a separate bash for their friends from the industry but there is no confirmation on that as yet.”
Though it is one of the most awaited weddings this year, Vidya and Siddharth want to keep it really low-key so the wedding may be a very private affair with close friends and family, followed by a reception where they invite their friends from the industry. Though the venue is undecided as of now, it has been learnt that the wedding will in all probability take place in a temple.
