TV BROTHERS AT WAR
They play brothers on screen but in reality, television actors Kushal Tandon and Karan Tacker can’t see eye to eye. The war is escalating with every passing day on the sets of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. As per channel sources, there is a power game on between the two leading to several clashes. Says a source, “Karan felt sidelined and even threatened to quit the show, but now he’s back.”
When we spoke to Kushal, he admitted that he and his on-screen brother don’t even talk off-screen. “Karan hasn’t been coming to shoot for a while. So, there was a lot of workload. I don’t know why he hasn’t been coming. I didn’t ask. We’re not on talking terms,” said Kushal.
He added, “Karan often complained to the channel that he looked like an extra. When the important cancer track was on, there was only Nia Sharma and me on the hoardings put up all over the city... it started from there.”
Meanwhile, Karan brushed off rumours of wanting to quit the show. “I know how television works. Tracks keep changing and focus can't be on one actor. Just that I am a creative man and would always want more!” About his equation with Kushal, he said, “I don’t want to get into mud-slinging. It is not necessary that you make friends on the way.” So, how do the two manage to act in front of the camera? “I can act very well. And we are professionals.”
And as the war between the two actors hots up, producer Siddharth Malhotra remains unfazed. “Karan was in London for a few days for an event, but now he is back,” he said. About the trouble brewing between his lead actors, Siddharth said, “If there is any trouble, I’m not aware of it. Anyway, It’s a personal thing. But if there are issues between them, they should be sorted out.”
