An ideal son-in-law
Akshay Kumar assumed the responsibilities of a dutiful son-in-law in after his illustrious father-in-law superstar Rajesh Khanna took ill and then passed away a few days later. He was by Khanna’s side when the frail superstar had waved to waiting fans from the balcony of his Bandra home and assured the media that his father-in-law was doing well. Later, he broke the news of Khanna’s demise to the media by stating that Khanna was in a happier place now. Akshay also oversaw the preparations of the funeral along with brother-in-law Sameer Saran and with folded hands, requested the press to not film the religious rituals at the crematorium on Thursday.
