Former wrestler and actor Dara Singh, 84, suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest on Saturday and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) in Andheri. Doctors said Singh's condition was "very critical".
"Singh was brought to the emergency ward at 5:15pm on Saturday. He
suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, that is we could not find his
pulse or blood pressure. We had to resuscitate him after which we could
find his pulse," said Dr Ram Narian, chief operating officer, KDAH.
Dr Narian said that Singh had been put on ventilator support. "His condition is not stable. We want to conduct a CTscan, among other modes of investigation, on him. But we cannot move him before his condition stabilises," said Dr Narian.
