Diana Penty is here to stay
While Deepika Padukone received rave reviews for her wild child role in Cocktail, the film’s other leading lady Diana Penty has not gone unnoticed either. Playing the demure Meera was a challenge for the model-turned-actress and though she is new to Bollywood, Penty insists that she is here to stay. She said that she was approached by filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for Rockstar but things did not work out. Penty says that she had no confidence in her acting ability when she was approached by the makers of the film. She is glad to have debuted with Cocktail as she had to start from scratch in preparation for the role including acting, dancing and diction classes.
