Actor Meryl Streep looked youthful in vibrant red and fetching glasses at the premiere of sixty-something sex saga, Hope Springs in New York. Unfairly slated for her style in the past, Streep is tagged as one of the finest actors of her generation — it hardly matters if she doesn’t know her peplums from her pencil skirts.
Meryl opted for the most vibrant bright red dress which had a flattering unstructured 50s inspired cut. It was a bold choice, and one that took years off her... as did the simple yet starkly black accessories.
Meryl, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress last in February for her portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, wore patent black Louboutin peeptoe heels and matched her belt to them. Her hair was scraped back, which added to the fun in the outfit, and a pair of sexy secretary style glasses perched on her nose.
