No matter what part of the world she travels to all
year, but Christmas is when actress Kareena Kapoor makes sure she’s home
to bring in the festival with mother Babita. “I make sure that I am in
Mumbai around Christmas. It’s a huge family celebration that I never
want to miss and never do. I bring in Christmas attending the midnight
mass at the church with mum, Lolo and Saif,” shares the Bolly star. Ask
her if it’s going to be special this year, and Kareena says that not
much has changed. “Saif is now my husband and I have one more thing to
thank God for, but otherwise it really doesn’t change anything.
Christmas is and always will be just as special for me. My connection
with the Almighty doesn’t change. I have attended midnight mass with
Saif earlier too, and once we step in, we are not thinking about
anything but prayers, wanting to thank God for the blessings and wishing
for peace and happiness,” says the actress.
Kareena reveals that it will be a lunch with the family today. “We all get together and have the yummiest lunch. I barely got the time to go shopping for Lolo’s kids (Samaira and Kiaan Raj), but I love pampering them. Buying gifts is also a part of celebrations,” shares the doting aunt. And post Christmas is when the actress confirms that she will finally take off for her annual vacation with Saif. “This is a trip I look forward to each year. I can’t wait for our Swiss holiday,” says Kareena. This year has been particularly a hectic one for the couple, with both shooting all year through, and for Kareena it has been a rewarding one. “I think taking a few days off after a year of hard work makes it special too, besides the fact that we finally get to spend time with each other,” smiles Kareena. |
