As the year comes to a close, here’s scanning some musical highlights of 2012…

We learnt the horse dance, thanks to Korean superstar Psy’s record making hit Gangnam Style.
From Guns• Roses to Enrique Iglesias, Sean Paul, Korn, etc, we saw a plethora of international stars descend on Indian turf. Music festivals go big! NH7 weekender extended to three cities this year; Sunburn moved to territories beyond Goa; Live From The Console had its first Goa edition. Moreover, we saw myriad new festivals mushrooming such as Ragasthan, Windsong, etc. Musician Raghu Dixit played for the Queen of England as a part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra’s musical debut, In My City, in collaboration with will.i.am had everyone going gaga. |
