Perfectionism can be bad for health
Extreme perfectionism is bad for your health, says a new study. According to research, it can lead to a host of emotional, physical and relationship problems, including high levels of stress, depression, eating disorders, elevated anger and anxiety. If you want to break the cycle, learn to ‘professionalise and not personalise’. Concentrate on being objective and grow from your mistakes. Accept that we have imperfections and it is impossible to be perfect. Go easy on yourself and set realistic goals. Learn to substitute perfectionism with healthy achievement.
