Tom bonds with Aamir
A party hosted by actor Anil Kapoor saw Hollywood co-star, Tom Cruise in deep conversation with actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur
A party thrown for Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise was expected to have the who's who from Bollywood, instead it turned out to be a close-knit affair with close friends of the host of the party, actor Anil Kapoor attending it. Aamir seemed to be Tom's most favourite company for evening as actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and the Bachchans were conspicuous by their absence. It is learnt that Shah Rukh is in Morocco, while Salman and Akshay are shooting outstation. Abhishek Bachchan, too, has started shooting for his next film.
Aamir was seen talking animatedly to Tom at the party that was largely attended by filmmakers and industrialists. Tom was dressed casually in a white tee and black shirt. Anil stuck by Tom's side all through the evening as filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who came with daughter Kauveri, Aamir and Tom started bonding over films and "life in Los Angeles". Tom seemed more than happy to reconnect with friend Shekhar.
"It's a party for my close friends and it's very private. Tom is a lot more excited to meet his fans and feel the excitement of his movie releasing in India. We are all talking about that all the time," said Anil just before the party.
The other prominent guests who were present at the party were Mukesh Ambani, Naresh Goyal, Parmeshwar Godrej. The Bollywood gang were represented by Farhan Akhter, Tabu, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi-Jave Akhtar, Shirish Kunder, Rajkumar Hirani, Subhash Ghai, Resul Pookutty and Padmini Kolhapure.
