This isn’t the first time that a celebrity has gone off social networking sites when fans have misbehaved with them. This time it’s actor Priyanka Chopra, who was apparently hurt when a couple of her followers on a micro-blogging site, made nasty remarks on her Twitter page. The actor, who has been stationed abroad since quite some time was completely cut off from her fans for two-three weeks as she was upset with the kind of comments people were posting on her account. A source close to her says, “Priyanka was in Spain for a couple of days with her close friends. She was recording her music album and decided to extend her stay by a couple of days to bring in her birthday at Ibiza. It was quite surprising to see PC cut off from Twitter for a couple of weeks. Birthday wishes poured in from everyone but she chose to not respond to any, because she was hurt. Her followers, some good, some bad, were posting very unflattering remarks on her account and she decided to get off the micro-blogging site. She had decided that she wouldn’t come back to the site.” However, on her friend’s insistence, she later came back to Twitter and explained the reason for her absence. A couple of days back, she posted, “Sorry i disappeared.I was very hurt by a few haters who i seem to expose myself to by tweeting..but then i also realised how much luv most of u have shown me..So here I am..cautious..but real..love to all who share love..cause thats all I’m here to do..for anyone else..c ya!” The actor has now decided to use the forum to just talk about her professional life and to keep in touch with her friends.
