Mumbai street walls have been recently graced with images of Kaka and Big B

Artists from an urban public art project, aim to
transform the walls in Mumbai through graffiti art influenced by the
70-year old design tradition of hand-painted Bollywood posters. A mural
of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan from his classic film Deewar was
recently spotted in the city.
In Mumbai, we keep our Bollywood heros close by. Echoing this sentiment is. artist Ranjit Dahiya who created a mural of late actor Rajesh Khanna on a roadside building wall in Mumbai on July 25. The veteran actor, who passed away on June 18, was known as the ‘first superstar’ of Bollywood and it seems his fans want to keep his name alive. |
