ROLE MODEL: KIRTI KULHARI ‘Eyes are the most important’

Kirti Kulhari made an impression with her role in 2010’s Shaitan. And while the svelte actor has a make-up artiste on hand for those important shoots, she does seem to have quite a firm grasp on the basics.
“I use a water-based cleanser for sensitive skin on a daily basis. This is essential since I have oily skin,” she says, adding that her beauty kit includes a water-based moisturiser, sunscreen and MAC oil for removing excess make-up.
“Make-up is an integral part of my lifestyle because of the profession I’m in. And the eyes are the most important element, followed by the lips, which should be highlighted with lipstick,” Kirti says.
I always use a night eye cream along with a moisturiser for the face depending on the condition of my skin.
My make-up routine starts with a primer on clean skin, which gives the face a nice smooth glow.
That is followed by applying a base and then a skin-matching concealer. I use translucent powder to settle it. Once that’s done, I use different pigments to contour the cheekbones and the nose.
I use tints from the Body Shop for my cheeks and lips, which gives them a natural pink color.
To give your eyes a bright, attractive appearance, line them with kajal on the outside and inside. Then carefully smudge the outside line without making a mess.
