Doesn't matter if it's black-n-white Dress!

Despite fashion's colour burst, B-Town's going easy, opting for classic monochromes these days

In a season of pinks, oranges, blues, reds and other vivid colours, fashionistas and tinselville folks are making a dual fashion statement — they are stepping out in designer wear of black and white shades. It's classic, state designers, that never goes out of fashion.
Says designer Ana Singh, "I don't think the colours black and white can ever go out of trend. It's a classic and looks beautiful on anyone. It just gets funkier and edgy suiting the occasions. Besides not just clothes, they look as chic as accessories too."
Among all fashion themes, this classic note works without a doubt feels designer Nachiket Barve. "Fashion trends come and go! Style remains. First, one can never go wrong with them as they lend an air of elegant sophistication and bring out the personality of the wearer. They are great investment pieces and can transcend fashion fallacies. The best part is they can be worn any time of the day and made funkier according to the event," he says.
Style icons over the years have remained loyal to these classic shades. "It's a safer bet. And therefore it always remains a hot favourite. Even though it has been around for long, it can be created in various patterns making it look new and fresh. It is one of the few shades that look great understated, minimalist or bold. You can never go wrong with it," says designer Masaba Gupta.
