| Through rallies and taking to social networking sites, Bollywood has in its own way shown solidarity towards social activist Anna Hazare's campaign pushing for the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill. Of late some have gone a step ahead. After actor Om Puri took to stage to deliver a speech in support of Anna on Friday, actor Aamir Khan flew down to Delhi to voice his support for the 74-year-old who's been on a continuous fast. "He (Aamir) is of the opinion that the Prime Minister should be brought under the purview of the Lokpal, the anti-corruption cell of CBI should merge with Lokpal and the lower bureaucracy should also be brought under the ambit of the Lokpal. The actor also feels that Lokpal should be able to investigate allegations against the MPs," says a close friend of the star. Though Aamir has not spoken about it, he has been in touch with Anna's supporters, often giving them ideas on how to go forward on the matter, sources say. |
| And now it has been revealed that actor Salman Khan too has been contemplating going to Delhi. "Salman was thinking of going there and supporting the movement as a make good gesture after his bodyguards apparently roughed up a few of Anna's supporters recently. However, he may not be able to do as his film is releasing and it might be viewed as a publicity ploy by his detractors," a source adds. International wrestler and actor Khali too pledged his support to Hazare, apart from several other Bollywood celebs and more are now expected to follow suit, say industry sources. |
