why Ishaa Koppikar would talk about this film

Scary in a saree

Now one finally knows why Ishaa Koppikar would talk about this film so much. Yes, this is clearly the actor's best work so far and she knew that she had a great film on hand. It's actually a dream role for any actress to have too as the central character and with all the scope to showcase your acting talent and of course, no hero to eclipse you in the film.
Ishaa naturally had made full use of the opportunity and has put up a class act. Her facial expressions, the crass body language, the mouthing of her dialogues and the action sequences prove that this actor has genuinely put in a lot of hard work. There's not a single scene where she falters in her acting.
The film, as the promos point out, is about a woman who is forced to take to arms due to her circumstances and by the end of the movie, turns out to be a ruthless killing machine. The movie has traces of Satya that made Ram Gopal Varma and more or less, follows the same thread.
One of the striking features of the film is the greyscale and sepia-toned picture quality that has been maintained throughout the film. The film slows down after some time even though the story progresses well. Aamir Khan's villain in Ghajini (Pradeep Rawat) is this movie's villain too, but somehow fails to scare us even though he tries to be very scary as the head of the bhais.
The torture scene where Ishaa's brother gets killed in police custody — which acts like a fillip towards turning her into a criminal — could have been filmed in a lot better manner. Zakir Hussain could have been better again but he sounds too repetitive and never really impresses in his role as a police inspector who's trying to start a war between the criminals themselves.
The film is worth your money and is definitely worth a watch. Ishaa will probably not get to essay such a role again. Unfortunately these films don't get the spotlight and get lost in the middle of big releases.
