    Madonna looked like a novice skier, who had touched the ski slopes for the first time, as she took several spills during a trip to a Swiss Alps resort. The 54-year-old singer, who spent New Year’s Eve in a tony chalet in the exclusive resort town of Gstaad, Switzerland, with her daughters and boyfriend, donned a sleek black ski jacket, pants and a matching helmet to go native. But as her 25-year-old boyfriend Brahim Zaibat looked on, the pop diva fell several times on the mostly flat trail — the bunny slope. In one particularly awkward moment, she landed face down in the snow with her legs splaid and a clearly unhappy look on her face. Her 16-year-old daughter, Lourdes, fared much better, staying upright on a snowboard, as she navigated down more advanced trails with several friends. Six-year-old Mercy, who Madonna adopted from Mali in 2009, also enjoyed the family’s break on the slopes, getting a private instructor help her down the bunny slope.
