Check out the Bollywood heroes who will rock in 2013 and why...

The year 2012 ended on a high note for Bollywood with many hits, and the line-up this year seems just as promising. But it’s not only the jingle of the cash registers that will bring a smile to the industrywallahs, the audiences will also get to see their heroes in varied avatars. Industry observers agree that the year is going to be a maha-interesting affair, as they say, “With Salman (Khan) going back to being Radhey, Aamir (Khan) to be seen in a full-on masala entertainer, Akshay (Kumar) playing an underworld don, Saif (Ali Khan) going all rustic in Bullet Raja, Abhishek (Bachchan) returning to Dhoom, Vivek (Oberoi) to Masti, Ajay (Devgn) becoming Himmatwala and Emraan (Hashmi) debuting in a Holly flick, fans can look forward to an eclectic mix of new avatars for their heroes.” Here’s checking out the actors who will be seen trying to make a zabardast impact in 2013...

Shah Rukh Khan
It’s nothing less than a coup of sorts as Rohit Shetty teams up with SRK in Chennai Express. Rohit, who moved from Ajay’s side to work with SRK, had left many gape in surprise with the announcement. A full-on masala, this one promises to be a treat for SRK fans who will see him in a new avatar after Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Happy New Year with Farah Khan is also high on everyone’s interest list.

Akshay Kumar
The highest grossing star of 2012 seems to be in no mood to let go of the crown. Akshay will be seen doing a hatke con-caper Special Chhabbis, following which he has Boss, in which the actor claims the audience will see him in his best action avatar till date. Also, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 will sees him play an underworld don.

John Abraham
After his comedy outing in 2012 with Housefull 2 and a cameo in Vicky Donor, the year 2013 will see John cement his ‘Action Abraham’ image with films like Race 2, Shootout At Wadala and Madras Cafe. And in his own words, “all three are going to
be game-changers.”

Salman Khan
Post his action-packed outing last year, Salman will be seen giving his romantic image a boost in 2013 as Radhey. As the buzz goes he may reprise Prem once again in a Barjatya flick. No Entry sequel, Kick and Sher Khan are also on the anvil. So, the masala mix of action-comedy might just continue for Sallu fans this year too.

Hrithik Roshan
After entering the Rs100-crore club last year with Agneepath, this year will see Hrithik once again donning the mask of superhero Krissh after seven years. Krissh 3 promises to be even bigger affair than its prequel.

Ranbir Kapoor,
Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan
All the three young Turks have one thing in common this year: They are all trading their urban images for desi gabrus. It’s a crucial year for the three uber-cool dudes as they all break away from their classy avatars for the massy ones. Ranbir with Besharam, Shahid with Rajkumar Rambo as well as Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Imran with Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola will taste rather desi waters in 2013.

Aamir Khan
Post his 2009 record-breaking outing 3 Idiots, Aamir completely kept off from masala fare with films like Dhobi Ghat, a cameo in Delhi Belly and Talaash. But this year, the actor will be seen returning to a full-on masala entertainer Dhoom 3 as a baddie and naturally all eyes are riveted on his action avatar.
