Three cinematographers for one film
| ||
In what could probably be the first, a director has
used three different cinematographers for one film. Bejoy Nambiar, who
is directing David, already was in the news for shooting portions of the
film in black and white. Now sources say that he has used three
cinematographers for one movie. The film starring actors Vikram, Neil
Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani in pivotal roles traces the journey of
three people named David, through different eras. Bejoy, sources say,
needed three distinct looks for the film that’s why he employed three
different lensmen.
R Rathnavelu, PS Vinod and Sanu Varghese were recruited to shoot the respective segments. Bejoy confirms, “For my upcoming film I did use three different cinematographers.” The film simultaneously shows tracks of the three Davids: While Vikram’s story takes place in Goa, Neil’s story happens in London and Vinay’s is placed in Mumbai. The plot of the film, that releases next month, revolves around the lives of three different men, who are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever. |
