T insel town has been abuzz with talks of actor Kareena Kapoor marrying her beau Saif Ali Khan, next year. However, the actor rebuffs the rumour and also rubbishes reports that designer Ritu Kumar is putting together her wedding ensemble. “Marriage rumours are not true. We are focusing on our films. And will let the media know whenever we plan to tie the knot. But for now, it is raining Khans -Shah Rukh, Salman, Saif, Aamir and Imran,“ says Kareena, who is working with Shah Rukh in Ra.One, Salman in Bodyguard, Saif Ali in Agent Vinod, Aamir in Reema Kagti's untitled project and Imran in Short Term Shaadi.
The actor also denies making any trips to Delhi for the fitting of her wedding outfits.
When we contacted Ritu Kumar, who was reportedly the chosen one to design the D-day dress, she sounded a little shocked to know that Kareena has refuted all rumours related to her marriage. “Let's leave it at that. I have not made any statement myself and I'm in no position to make it right now. I'll talk only at the right time,“ says the Delhi-based designer, who shares a great rapport with Saif's mother and veteran actor Sharmila Tagore.
Apparently, Kumar was picked over other designers, as Tagore, who is fond of Kumar's traditional taste, wanted her to design Kareena's wedding ensemble.
The couple had first made their marriage announcement on chat show, Koffee with Karan, season three.
Saifeena revealed that they would be getting married in 2012. Kareena also said that if she had not been acting, she would have been married to Saif by now.
