AKSHAY’S FILMS IN 2012 HAVE MOST CHARTBUSTERS

Very often, the soundtrack of a Bollywood film has proved to be the crucial factor in ensuring the film a good opening. And Akshay Kumar is one actor who has made optimum use of this. The music of his latest release, Khiladi 786, too, has topped the charts.
Akshay has struck gold for the fourth time this year, beginning with the songs of Housefull 2, like Papa Toh Band Bajaye and Anarkali Disco Chali, Rowdy Rathore’s Chinta Ta Chita Chita and Aa Re Pritam Pyaare. Next, the Go Go Govinda track from his home production OMG Oh My God! captured the frenzy of the nation during Janmashtami.
Considering the popularity of these soundtracks, Akshay may well be the hero with the most chartbusters to his credit in 2012. He concedes that he knows when the music of his film is going to do well. “When I hear my film’s music blaring from the cars around, I’m assured it’s doing well,” he says. But tell him that he’s the “chartbuster hero” and he smiles, “When I listen to any song, I listen as an audience. The credit for the success goes to the music directors who contributed towards that.”
