Sonam gets ‘Cavalli’er

While the launch of international designer Roberto Cavalli’s flagship store in Delhi had a bevy of Bollywood beauties including Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sushmita Sen in attendance, actress Sonam Kapoor was the only one who got invited by the designer for a private family dinner post the launch. “Roberto personally walked the red carpet with Sonam for the opening. She was also invited to a special sit-down dinner with Cavalli and his family. The dinner spread had lavish Asian cuisine and went on for couple of hours,” confirms an insider. “The next morning they even shot an exclusive for a prestigious international magazine,” adds the insider. Talking about their association, a source shares, “Cavalli is extremely fond of Sonam. She met him around five years back for the first time when they shot for an international magazine. After that she has been invited to all his shows and even gets a preview of his collections much before anyone else. In fact, every year at Cannes, she is the only one who attends Cavalli’s most talked about party. The year before last, Sonam Kapoor even launched a huge store for them at Cannes.” It was for Cavalli that Sonam took time off from her shoot of Ranjhana to make sure that she attends the event which meant much for the designer.
