An evening with achievers
Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and infertility specialist Dr Nandita Palshetkar were among those conferred with the ‘Dignitaries of Maharashtra’ award in a ceremony organised by the CBD Foundation. Ashutosh Gowariker, Vijay Bhatkar (administrative director, TATA Steel), Dr Anil Kakodkar (nuclear scientist) and Suhas Bahulkar were among the other winners honoured.
Also seen in attendance were Chhagan Bhujbal, former Orissa governor Murlidhar Bhandare, Dr Jayant Naralikar, well-known Indian astrophysicist, Pradeep Bhide, Dilip Chawre, Rajeev Dhonde, former Indian cricket team captain Ajit Wadekar, Suresh Wadkar and Prafulla Dahanukar.
