Saif in anti-smoking disclaimer
While standard anti-smoking disclaimers have been a part of our films for sometime, Go Goa Gone will see Saif Ali Khan’s audio-visual (AV) talking about the ill-effects of smoking. And a special line asking the viewers to respect Goa. We hear Saif had to appear in the AV, mainly because he had run into trouble with Goa government — over violation of the smoking act and defaming the state.Excerpts from the AV...
“I started smoking cigarettes when I was 16 years old because I thought it was really cool. Pretty soon, it was a very strong addiction I could not live without...” “When I was 32, I felt a burning feeling in my chest and I went to the doctor and he told me I was about to have a heart attack that had been brought on only because of smoking.” “So, if you see us doing it on screen...please don’t do that in your real life because its a terrible thing to do.” “Don’t be influenced by the wrong things, don’t smoke, say no to drugs, say no to violence and respect Goa for the beautiful place that it is...”
